BIG MEN AND LITTLE PRINCESSES

1 John 4:18, Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced His perfect love.”

(NLT)

All of us must solve the __________________________ issue once and for all.

WHAT EVERY PERSON NEEDS TO HEAR:

  1. “I Love You!”

Matthew 3:16–17, “After his baptism, as Jesus came up out of the water, the heavens were openedand he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and settling on him. 17 And a voice from heaven said, “This is my dearly loved Son, who brings me great joy.” (NLT)

Everyone Needs Acceptance: _______________________________________!

  1. I’m Proud Of You!

Matthew 17:5, “While he was still speaking a cloud enveloped them and a voice from the cloud said, ‘This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.”  (NIV)

Everyone Needs: ____________________________________________.

  1. You’re Good At What You Do!”

Matthew 17:5, “‘With him I am well pleased. Listen to him!’”  (NIV)

Everyone Needs: __________________.

WITHOUT A FATHER’S BLESSING WE WILL:

  1. Have Deep Insecurities.

  1. Become Vulnerable To False Identities.
  • When You’re Chasing Validation, You Take On Personas And Wear Whatever Mask You Need To Get Approval And Acceptance From Others.

  1. Suffer From Low Personal Maturity.

  1. Become Self-Absorbed.

  1. Personally Self-Destruct.

Psalm 34:4-7, “I sought the Lord, and he answered me and delivered me from all my fears. 5 Those who look to him are radiant, and their faces shall never be ashamed. This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him and saved him out of all his troubles. The angel of the Lord encamps around those who respect him, and he delivers them.” (ESV)

HOW GOD THE FATHER WANTS ALL OF US TO RECEIVE HIS BLESSING

  1. ____________________________ see God’s heart for you as a Father.

Jeremiah 3:19, “I myself said, ‘How gladly I would treat you like my kids… I thought you would call me Father and not turn away from following me.’”  (NIV)

  1. ________________________ accept His blessing and respond to Him.

Romans 8:15–16, “This resurrection life you received from God is not a timid, grave-tending life. It’s adventurously expectant, greeting God with a childlike, ‘What’s next, Papa?’  God’s Spirit touches our spirits and confirms who we really are. We know who he is, and we know who we are: Father and children.”  (MSG)

  1. _________________ define your adulthood by His acceptance alone.

  • Will we define ourselves by how others see us? — Or will we define ourselves by how God sees us?

Romans 8:37, “No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.”   (NIV)

1 John 4:18, “There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.”  (NIV)
